Workforce and talent had emerged as the key industry topic in the many research initiatives that underpin ICE London. Staff recruitment and retention challenges aren’t just a remnant of the post-pandemic world, but relate to broader industry challenge around DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion), reputation and old-fashioned image.

Addressing those challenges is critical to future-proof the industry, as well as to ensure it continues to innovate and attract a variety of perspectives from different backgrounds and demographics, proven as direct source of innovation and thus growth.

Therefore, what had historically been a DEI-focused seminar, in 2023 expanded its remit to tackle the topic of DEI in a context of broader inclusion of gender, sex and neurodiversity, but also generation and age.
