Аleksandar Popov is the Director of the Directorate "Supervision of Gambling and Gambling Activities" of the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency and he is responsible for the implementation of the state policy in the field of gambling. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of state control over sectors with a significant concentration of public funds and has an extensive background in the development of legislation and management of public interest litigation, regulation, governance and public sector strategy. Since he has been managing the Gambling Directorate a special working group has been set up to amend national gambling legislation. Some business representatives are part of the working group as well. Aleksandar is a lawyer and he is certified as an internal auditor in the public sector.
