Pitch ICE returns for 2022!

Clarion Gaming has been providing start-ups with a gateway to industry investors and strategic partners since 2009, with international start-up events and competitions taking place at ICE London, ICE North America, ICE Africa and iGB Live – and this year is no different!

At ICE London, taking place at ExCel London on 12-14 April 2022, the Pitch ICE stage will offer an opportunity for 13 gaming entrepreneurs, selected by voting process, to debut their start-ups and present them to the wider gaming community and industry leaders. After a long wait, the winner of the 2021 digital event will also have a chance to pitch in front of a live audience. As a reward, all finalists will be provided with an exhibition space on the Pitch ICE show floor, where visitors will be able to find out more about their products and ideas for the future.

Many of our start-ups have secured important investments and acquisition partners following their pitch presentations and participation at what is the largest global gathering of gaming operators in Europe, attended by close to 40,000 visitors over the three days of the event. Hear some of them talk about their successes following Clarion’s start-up initiatives here.

For your opportunity to be selected to take to the stage please make sure you comply with the pitch rules, listed below, and submit your application, together with a two-minute pitch video, to

Submission deadline – Friday, 4 February 2022.

Pitch Rules

For starters, it's OK to break the rules. That's what entrepreneurship is all about. Just so long as you don't break more than two of them.

 1. More than just a concept. We are looking for companies that are beyond the ‘concept phase’. There must be a demonstrable product and we will heavily favour those startups able to bring a technical as well as a commercial team member to show the company is built on solid technology.

2. ‘Early stage’ only. We are looking for early-stage companies. Ideally, we are looking at startups at the prototype stage or that have launched in the last few months (i.e. haven’t gained significant media/investment attention – and are not at the idea concept!) Publicly traded or large, well-known private companies are not eligible (this rule cannot be broken!).

3. Ready to deploy capital. We would prefer – but it's not essential – that the company or project has not raised a large amount of money from institutional investors (small amounts from friends, family and mentors are OK, but the key word is 'small'). Also, this is not a forum for established companies seeking later stage capital or strategic exits (this rule cannot be broken!).

4. Pitch ICE is for new companies and entrepreneurs to gain attention and investment; it is not for established companies to launch new products or even divisions (this rule cannot be broken!).

5. Totally committed. The fewer existing commitments you have, and the more you can do to prove you are determined to execute, the better.

6. Scalable solution. We are looking for entrepreneurs with a unique perspective that are looking to take a scalable business solution to the next level.

7. English-speaking. While we are looking for solutions and businesses that span the globe, Pitch ICE is an English-speaking event, hence proficiency in the English language is required.

8. Pitch video to be prepared so we can promote your pitch prior to the event (this rule cannot be broken)

Good luck.

We look forward to receiving your submissions!
